MAESTA' DEI MORI Lucignano
AGRITOURISM 2 EARS
STRUCTURE DESCRIPTION
Independent part of an old 18th century manor house, characterized by a charming portico with several rows of arches. The house, which takes its name from the tabernacle of the "Madonna della Querce", placed at the entrance to the drive, is situated on the border of the provinces of Arezzo and Siena. It is surrounded by fields of corn and sunflowers, brambles and (mulberry trees) used from the beginning of the 1900's for the breeding of silk worms. Just over 2 km away is the old medieval town of Lucignano, with local shops and amenities, worthy of a visit as it still conserves its original town plan , made up of concentric streets , and is unique in Italy. In the large garden in front of the house, shaded by pine, cypress and cedar trees, always beautifully tended and equipped with garden furniture, barbecue and childrens games, there is a beautiful swimming pool ( 6 x 11 m, depth 1,00-2,00 m) which the guests use together with the owner who lives in the other part of the villa. The house has been furnished with period furniture and guarantees a high level of comfort.
