DESCRIPTIVE INFORMATION
Numerous frescoes have been discovered and restored in the Church of San Francesco. On the left wall of the transept is a large fresco from the Sienese school with three scenes in three overlapping bands (the Stigmata of Saint Francis, the Madonna Enthroned between Saints Christopher and George, and the Epiphany).

Among the oldest is the 14th-century fresco depicting the Triumph of Death, attributed to Bartolo di Fredi.
