DESCRIPTIVE INFORMATION
The Majesty was painted, perhaps in the early 14th century, by Segna di Bonaventura, as attested by the inscription at the base of the painting, which also records the names of the patrons depicted at the bottom. It may derive from the one painted by Duccio in the Palazzo Pubblico in Siena in 1302.
The altarpiece is currently located in the altar of the left transept of the New Collegiate Church of San Giuliano.
